The Yerdle team

Ready to build something that matters? Join us.

Most startups produce stuff the world doesn’t really need, like photo-sharing for cats or on-demand kleenex delivery. We realize that most people are happy to spend their career working on products like these — if that’s you, we’re sure you’re a swell person, but your services aren’t needed at Yerdle.

If you’re someone who’s interested in building something that matters, something that you’ll be proud to tell your grandkids about — then you’re in the right place. At Yerdle, we’re going after one of the biggest issues facing the world: material consumption and its impact on waste, resource depletion, the economy, personal wellbeing and more. It’s a trillion-dollar opportunity — and we need you to join us.

Yerdle’s mission is to replace 25 percent of new purchases with reuse. We’ve created a marketplace where you can get anything you need, by simply giving away what you already have. It’s a way to put billions of durable goods that sit idle back into use, while saving people more money than Amazon could dream of. Our team comes at this opportunity with deep backgrounds in e-commerce and retail (Walmart), peer-to-peer economy (Zipcar), sustainability (Saatchi & Saatchi S), movement-building (Sierra Club) and startup growth (eBay, Zynga, Quirky).

When people give things away on Yerdle, something wonderful happens: they change their relationship to stuff. They capture the value of idle items that were just taking up space. They find it’s easier to get something reused rather than buy new. And they delight someone they’ve never met in the process. Our community of half a million Yerdlers is powering the circular economy, one exchange at a time.

If you thrive at the startup pace and like to have fun while you work hard, you’ll love Yerdle. Join us and deploy your skills to make a better world.

You can read more about what we're doing in Business Insider, Forbes, and Fast Company.
